About Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park, located in the state of Assam, India, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important protected areas in the world for the conservation of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Spanning over 430 square kilometers, Kaziranga is known for its rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems.

Kaziranga National Park is characterized by tall elephant grass, dense forests, and numerous water bodies, providing a perfect habitat for a variety of wildlife species. Apart from Indian rhinoceros, visitors can spot elephants, wild water buffalo, tigers, and over 500 species of birds.

How to Reach Kaziranga National Park

The nearest airport is Jorhat Airport, approximately 80 kilometers away, and Tezpur Airport, approximately 100 kilometers away. From Jorhat or Tezpur, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Kaziranga National Park.
