About Gir National Park

Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Gujarat, India, is the last remaining stronghold of the Asiatic lion. Spread over an area of about 1,412 square kilometers, Gir is renowned for its successful conservation efforts and rich biodiversity.

Gir National Park is characterized by dry deciduous forests, grasslands, and rocky hills, providing a perfect habitat for a variety of wildlife species. Apart from Asiatic lions, visitors can spot leopards, Indian bison, sambar deer, and over 300 species of birds.
